Location – Ballston Spa, NY
Pay range $15-18/hour

We are looking for a Mill Helper for one of our clients. The duties revolve around production and manufacturing using Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and other raw goods. This is a mechanically oriented, and physical role requiring candidates to be able to lift, pull, push, and move 50lbs consistently in a fabrication shop.



  • Load raw goods (aluminum, stainless steel rolls) using power equipment onto machine (similar to working with web rolls)
  • Adjust equipment settings according to product specifications/customer orders (tighten, loosen)
  • Feed product into the machine, assist with removal of finished goods on the back end of the cycle.
  • Document production results with part and inventory information, reports, etc.
  • Adhere to all company safety standards (no shortcuts) ensuring processes are followed.
  • Assist with other department needs as needed including yard work (Exposure to natural elements – wind,heat, cold, dust, rain, etc.).



  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Mechanical abilities from metal fabrication, automotive technology, auto body shops, machining, machine operation or similar experience.
  • Ability to follow instructions, schematics, specification and order sheets
  • Experience using hand tools for making equipment adjustments, repair, etc.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted regularly
  • Math Skills for measurement (inches, metric)
  • Reliable attendance/work history

Elements to this position:
You’ll be working in manufacturing, which means you’re getting your hands dirty. You’ll be lifting parts, making sure the production machines work correctly. From time to time, you’ll need to make adjustments to the equipment. You’ll also change out the tools/settings based on the desired finished good.  None of the elements are super light, but you’ll have equipment to lift and move the heavier components. During summer months, it can get a bit warm, so be prepared. Training for, and adhering to safety rules are critical to this role. Steel toe shoes are required.
