Pay range $16-17/hour

We have several openings for Customer Care Reps in Latham, NY. These customer service roles are responsible for handling incoming phone calls (medium volume, i.e. up to 50 calls per day) from clients and others seeking information, clarification regarding benefits eligibility, claim status, etc.  You will handle those calls, provide compassionate and professional support by answer set questions with prescribed answers, and defer those clients to other departments as needed. These are temp-to-hire opportunities, so you have a chance to earn a long term position with a great organization. NOTE: These roles will begin as Work From Home (WFH), but will eventually be housed in our client's Latham facility.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Answer approximately 40-50 phone calls daily, measured by quality and consistency of care to callers. Some of these are new calls, some are from prior activities, so you may need to pick up where someone else left off.
  • Stay up to date with client information so you’re able to provide the best answers possible, in a polite, professional demeanor.
  • You’ll perform data entry and update records/notes of each call within our client database
  • You will work around multiple software applications to retrieve and relay key information to callers
  • Adhere to all client specific policies related to information you can discuss and share.
  • Participate in all required training programs ongoing (initial training is approximately 4 weeks online)

Position Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Customer service mindset -helpful, professional
  • Retail or hospitality customer service experience preferred
  • Must be able to navigate multiple applications on a computer system simultaneously (i.e. copy paste, toggle between screens; attaching, uploading or downloading electronic files. If these items get you flustered, this is not the role for you.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast changing environment
  • Ability to read, write and speak with positive communication skills.
  • Positive personality and someone with a demonstrated level of compassion while dealing with clients


Training schedule will be between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. Once training is complete, your schedule will fall between the hours of 7am and 9pm. We won't know til later on what that formal schedule will be so candidates should have open flexibility within those hours (remember, for the foreseeable future, this will be work from home).
