1st Shift 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
2nd Shift 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm Shift Differential Pay

Position Summary:
The Production Technician is an essential and versatile member of the Plug Power manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for the assembly and quality validation of Plug Power’s GenDrive fuel cell technology. Ideal candidates for this role possess a background in manufacturing of electro-mechanical assemblies along with a quality focus and strong attention to detail. The Production Technician role is also very safety focused and committed to working in a collaborative team environment to achieve manufacturing goals.
Core Duties And Responsibilities
Hand assembly of a variety of sub-systems and components utilized in manufacturing Plug Power’s GenDrive fuel cell technology; assembly tasks are electro-mechanical in nature
Ability to read, interpret and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assembly instructions
Operation of manual hand tools and power tools as required in assembly and validation work
Operation of material handling equipment, including manual and electric power jacks
Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and problem solving to diagnose system, sub-system, and ancillary component issues in the course of the manufacturing process
Follow all environmental health and safety regulations in the course of work; compliance with all OSHA standards
Maintain proper housekeeping so as to promote a safe and efficient workplace
Must professionally communicate and collaborate with other Plug Power team members and supervisors
Ability to complete manufacturing documentation as required in the course of work
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational education/training is preferred
At least one (1) of experience within a manufacturing assembly position; electro-mechanical assembly experience preferred
High degree of manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
Comfort operating hand/power tools safely and efficiently
Ability to work overtime as assigned and commit to a flexible work schedule around manufacturing demand
Ability to operate a computer and perform computer transactions accurately
Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office software programs
Quality focused and detail-oriented
Team player with a positive communication style
Ability to stand and/or and sit for long periods of time in performance of job functions
