Forklift Operator /Material Handler

Location: Menands, NY
Pay: $17.50/hr

We are looking for a reliable and dedicated Forklift/Material Handler to join our team in Menands, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling products efficiently and safely, ensuring that all shipments are loaded, unloaded, stored, and distributed according to customer and internal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, store, and distribute freight to meet both customer and internal expectations.

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, roll-a-lifts, J-bars, dock plates, and other tools for loading/unloading shipments.

• Handle freight properly to minimize claims and maximize operational efficiency.

• Learn and utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track and manage inventory.

• Complete required paperwork associated with freight handling.

• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse floor to company standards.

Reporting Structure:

• Report to the Dock Supervisor and Warehouse Manager.

Job Requirements:

• At least one year of experience in warehousing and distribution.

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

• Forklift certification required.

• Strong attention to safety and detail.

• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
