We are seeking general warehouse associates for a client located in Menands. These are full time, long term positions with the opportunity for full time work.
Position Summary
We are seeking dependable and safety-focused individuals. These roles support daily warehouse and material-handling operations by ensuring materials are received, inspected, moved, stored, and handled safely and efficiently.
Receiving Associate Primary Responsibilities
- Receive inbound shipments and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming materials for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Accurately label and identify inventory prior to storage.
- Enter receiving information into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Safely unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
- Stage and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies.
- Keep the receiving area clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or receiving experience preferred.
- Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to become certified.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Rigger Primary Responsibilities
- Safely move, position, and secure heavy equipment and materials using appropriate rigging equipment.
- Inspect slings, chains, hooks, shackles, and lifting devices before each use.
- Determine appropriate lifting methods based on load weight, size, and center of gravity.
- Work closely with crane operators and other team members to complete safe lifting operations.
- Ensure loads are properly balanced, secured, and prepared before lifting.
- Follow all OSHA, company, and customer safety regulations.
- Perform routine inspections and report damaged or defective rigging equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspections and equipment usage.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and positioning large machinery as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous rigging experience preferred.
- Knowledge of rigging techniques, load calculations, and lifting equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, lift plans, or work instructions.
- OSHA or NCCCO rigging certification preferred, when applicable.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in physically demanding environments.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and hazard recognition.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Successful candidates will be safety-conscious, reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse or industrial environment.
