Those of us in the staffing industry have known for a while that temp jobs would be on the rise as the market got 'better.'  There are plenty of studies available to indicate that companies of varying sizes will utilize a temporary workforce to jump start, or take the intermittent space of long term workers.

Bloomberg recently put out this report that echoes this sentiment.  It provides several examples from not just one national agency, but several.  It won't be the same in every market, but overall the patterns and indicators are there.  We've seen first hand where several locally based businesses are mirroring these sentiments or increasing their staff levels hiring through temporary staffing agencies such as AccuStaff.

Predictions are tough to manage, but with historical data, they can be very effective.  Keep in mind, these are predictions, and history hasn’t been written yet.  It seems from various reports that the Albany, NY area is doing better than most leaving some very encouraged.  For those without full-time work, it’s hard to ask them if they’re confident in what’s to come.  The proof will be in the pudding, as they say.  Here’s a link to the Randstad Employee Confidence Index report from our affiliate Randstad.  It is pretty thorough and worth a read through to see where employees and employers are alike on a national scope.
