What type of jobs do we hire for?

Temporary

We define temporary work as having a start and end date. The dates may not be exact, but these are defined time frame.

Temp jobs are typically designed to cover a specific purpose for our clients. Examples could be to cover a leave of absence, a peak in business, vacation coverage, seasonal jobs, or a special project. Every client handles it differently. Temporary work can also be indefinite in length. This doesn’t mean these positions can’t result in something long term, but the intent is that the assignment has a shelf life. This might be good for you if you’re not sure what you want to do, or just need something for a period of time. With temporary work, you’re working on an assignment as an AccuStaff talent.

Temp-to-Hire

Temp-to-Hire is similar to temporary jobs, but with the intended option that our client is looking for someone long term to fill their specific need. Temp-to-hire is never a guarantee, you have to earn the role. There are a lot of other factors related to their business needs, and your job search that come into play. All things being equal, some candidates think of a temp to hire role as a “foot in the door” or “probation” period where they can try a business out before making a long term commitment. We liken it to a long term job opportunity. See what you can make of that chance to flourish!

Direct Hire

These are positions where our client wants to have you on their payroll at the point of hire. It means that you are not an AccuStaff employee; you would become our client’s employee on day one of that long term job (full time or part time). Different businesses elect this option based on the needs and goals of their organizational. Many times these are what people might call “Mission Critical” type of roles. The process is similar in that there is still a formal vetting and interview process, but the end result is a little different. Direct Hire roles may also be called Permanent Placement or Perm roles.

Food Production

Location - Johnstown, NY
Pay Range: $15.00/hour

Our client is seeking food production workers for their manufacturing operation to assist in day-to-day functions. You will be responsible for contributing with a team of others on safe and clean food production practices. This organization is looking for temp to hire candidates who are seeking long term opportunities for steady income and long term benefits.

Shifts currently open: 4:30pm start

Material Handlers

Location - Johnstown, NY
Pay $19/hr + $1.50 shift differential.

We are currently seeking two(2) production workers for a client in Johnstown, NY. These are full-time positions that can lead to permanent hire. We have one opening on 2nd and one on 3rd.

Previous warehouse experience is required.

Food Packing

Location - Johnstown, NY
Pay Range: $15.00/hour

Our client is seeking food packing workers for their manufacturing operation to assist in day-to-day functions. You will be responsible for contributing with a team of others on safe and clean food production practices. This organization is looking for temp to hire candidates who are seeking long term opportunities for steady income and long term benefits.

Shifts currently open: 6am shift start

Bonding Operator

We are seeking Bonding Operators for a client located in Ballston Spa. We have both 1st and 2nd shift opportunties available for a skilled Machine Operator to set up, maintain and operate silicone manufacturing machinery. You'll ensure the interminable and efficient running of production. A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers.

Work Environment:

Clean work environment, Air conditioned manufacturing area

Salary: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week plus overtime

Job Responsibilities

- Takes Initiative and offers suggestions to improve the operation
- Fully competent on specific assigned tasks and/or equipment within 2 weeks- 4 weeks
- Performs work in a timely manner with attention to quality
- Must be able to achieve production quotas set for the machine assigned to
- Follows and takes direction
- Demonstrates safe and orderly work practices
- Maintains a total awareness of quality practices and procedures
- Responsive to all production requests
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends (mandatory overtime maybe required)
Skills
- Must be able to preform each assigned task at full competency, as recorded on training record.
- Troubleshooting skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Able to work under pressure
- Can do - positive attitude
- High school diploma or General Education Degree(GED)
PPE: Provided ; lab coat, gloves, hairnet and safety glasses
PPE not provided but MUST have : Steel toe or safety composite footwear
