Operations Administrator
Pay range - $31-36,000/year + on-call stipend

We are seeking an Operations Administrator for a Human Services program for an immediate opening with our client. This is a full time role, and it is expected to include some on-call coverage dealing with at-risk youth. You’ll be involved in the day to day operations of the center providing leadership and operational support to the organization. You’ll help with researching various tasks, helping with

administrative duties, handling budgeting, and updating computer systems. Other core duties include client supervision, residents, and being involved in the day to day maintenance of the building. What does that mean?  It means you go to the store if needed, you call the copier repair vendor if the machine breaks, you call the Appliance repair person if the fridge breaks down, or you assist with other crises if they occur.  

 

Duties:

  • Client intervention, assessment and mediation as needed
  • Coordinate volunteer/tutoring support personnel for clients
  • Ensure clients are participating in all requirements (i.e. completing chores, following rules, along with other tasks)
  • Documenting and observing clients for various health and safety issues (eating, hygiene, personal interactions, stress, etc.)
  • Providing a core set of rules and structure for clients to adhere to
  • Coordinate and assist staff with client interactions; helping with suggestions for improvement where appropriate
  • Assist Case Manager with intake/discharge paperwork
  • Interview, Lead and manage Youth Care Workers to a set of clear expectations and responsibilities
  • Provide training for internal staff, including adherence to site rules, policies and procedures
  • Participate in annual training requirements; ensure staff participates in appropriate training
  • Attend to any external vendor issues, internal resource issues (i.e. copier, kitchen, company van).
  • Maintain accurate electronic documentation and filing for all activities as needed

 

Requirements:

  • Participate in Weekend and overnight on-call rotation
  • Associate’s Degree or 2 years of experience working in a human services related field
  • Demonstrated Leadership / Supervisory experience
  • Prior experience in a residential human service role preferred
  • Ability to clearly communicate verbally and orally
  • Computer skills required to write reports, maintain electronic files, communicate with community service partners in the region
  • Able to handle crisis situations with a calming demeanor
  • Prior Facilities Management experience a plus

 

This role is working for a non-profit/Human services organization. An excellent benefit package is included, plus an oncall stipend to add to the salary band listed.
