Meet the AccuStaff Team

iconHeather Rafferty, Owner, joined AccuStaff in 1988, and eventually purchased the business in 1997. Starting as a Staffing Specialist, focusing on the operations side of the business, Heather grew AccuStaff from a single location to the three locations she manages today. Her experience in on-site and large scale staffing situations have enabled her to earn the trust of businesses around the Capital District over the years. Heather invests her free time in helping with local non-profit organizations and South Colonie Central Schools events. Heather has received numerous awards and accolades over the years including being named AccuStaff Franchise Owner of the Year on multiple occasions; is one of the top Women Owned Businesses in the Capital District as well as the #1 Temporary Employment Agencies annually by the Business Review.

iconCarrie Smith, PHR, Senior Staffing Specialist, joined AccuStaff in 1999. She has experience in recruiting for short and long term positions in office support, light industrial and health care fields. Carrie maintains her PHR status through various HRCI meetings and programs online and throughout the Capital Region. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources from Empire State College. Carrie works out of both our Albany and Malta offices.

iconTom Schin, Client Relations Executive, joined AccuStaff in 2009. Tom’s been in the staffing industry since 2005 as an Area Manager for multiple offices and on-site operations in Albany, Saratoga, Glens Falls, and Pittsfield, MA. Tom has an additional 10 years in sales/management roles in publishing and holds a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology from the University at Albany. Tom’s an active member in CRHRA and CRRN (*former Board Member), as well as an involved resident of Ballston Spa, and spends his free time helping his sons with school activities. He is a 2016 graduate of Leadership Saratoga. He handles all things business development, marketing, web and sales related for our three offices. 

iconChrisi DiSilvio, Senior Staffing Specialist, joined AccuStaff in 2001 as a Staffing Specialist. She has spent time handling payroll, recruiting, and has evolved the position as a model for our other staffing specialists. Currently working part-time, Chrisi’s specialties lie in permanent hire recruiting and being a primary point of contact for New York State temporary staffing needs. 

iconJune Rulison, Onsite Staffing/HR Manager, joined AccuStaff in January 2013 in our Johnstown office.  She joined us after five years of health care staffing handling scheduling, license verification, and resolving last minute staffing needs in high pressure environments.  This experience provides a deeper understanding of our client’s recruiting needs. Having spent her first two and a half years in our Johnstown office, June is currently works onsite at two of our client locations handling, staffing & recruitment, along with employee relations among other things.  She is also our go-to person for credit collections and receivables.

iconMichelle Danehy, Onsite Staffing Specialist. Prior to joining AccuStaff in July 2014, Michelle managed, trained and recruited employees in retail environments for over eight years. She also spent four years as an assistant manager in the restaurant industry in California handling staff scheduling, recruiting and training responsibilities, in addition to overseeing Health & Safety for food standards. She's an efficient problem solver, and strives to get the job done the first time every time and not ashamed to admit she's a Dallas Cowboy's fan. Currently, Michelle manages our staffing initiatives for one of our large call center operations, and one of our key manufacturing sites, in addition to contributing with our day to day operations across the board.

iconJennifer Rivera, Staffing Specialist, started with AccuStaff in the summer of 2015. Jennifer has an Associate's Degree in Business Management, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development. She spent several years working in retail and banking, then made the move to more service based positions in 2009, dealing with clients, families and a variety of customer/employee types as a Program Director and eventually Scheduling Coordinator. She then spent a couple of years maintaining a large employee base for a health care based staffing group. Jennifer is an active PTA member and participates in a number of school and sporting functions revolving around her family.

iconTim Hallenbeck, Staffing Specialist, started with AccuStaff in the summer of 2016. Hailing from Rotterdam, Tim comes to us with 5+ years of managerial experience and 10+ years of customer service experience in retail and other environments. He earned his Bachelor's degree  from SUNY Oswego, and is currently enrolled at Southern New Hampshire University's Online program for a Master's in Human Resource Management. 

iconInsiya Poonawala, Staffing Specialist, started with AccuStaff in the summer of 2017. Insiya graduated from the University at Albany with her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Biology. Prior to starting her recruiting career, she spent 10 years in customer service roles within communications, healthcare and daycare businesses. She also worked as a Life Coach for the past 4 years.  Having worked as a Branch Employment Coordinator in her most recent role, Insiya is prepared to combine her customer service experience to jump in with all ouf our customer needs in office and light industrial positions.  Between keeping up with her monthly book club, being a dog mom, and Pokemon nerd, she likes to keep busy.
