WSB-TV consumer investigative reporter, Jim Strickland, talks to Randstad managing director of HR, Jim Link, about working part-time in today’s economy. The interview was based on results uncovered in the latest quarterly Randstad Workmonitor survey, where an average of 52% of U.S. workers said that they do not think that working part-time will damage their career opportunities.

Nice little video clip from CBS Sunday Morning on the value of internships. Certainly there are differing opinions on paid vs. unpaid internships. Some will even consider it as part of "paying their dues" in the long run of their career.  Doesn't make a wrong or right to it on either side, but worth a discussion point.  Thanks to our friends at NYSCEEA for letting us know about this. Using a staffing agency can be a great resource for a job seeker.  We regularly speak with candidates who are familiar with the benefits, but just as frequently, we speak with those who have no experience working with or around temporary or temp-to-hire or perhaps don’t know that staffing agencies exist (nor what they do).
