Great little article by Kelly Eggers here ("Ten Things That Can Get You Fired" from the Wall Street Journal).  She gives some great points to people on how not to get fired. Of course, that’s not to say you won’t be fired anyway, or if you don’t do these things, but odds are, if you’re a major contributor to one or more of these categories, things will begin to stack against you.

Leadership and innovation are critical components to making any business successful.  Inspiration at Work Radio out of Atlanta, had Jim Link, Managing Director of Human Resources at Randstad on recently and he shared a great deal of insight on growing business for the future from the Human Capital side of things.  Whether you’re looking to improve your skills/attributes in leadership, or you’re a leader already, this is definitely worth listening. Nice article found via NYCRC of the AMA (the article is actually by John Jantsch).  It mentions mistakes by employees in business, and empowering employees.  Don't misunderstand; repeated mistakes will kill your business and/or your business relationships, regardless of industry - especially the same ones over and over.  That being said, making it a learning experience, while having a positive impact on your customer, as this article points out, can really help your brand image from a customer service point of view.  It's a nice take.
